I'm away for the weekend in Broadstairs, and we walked along the coast to Ramsgate and we stumbled across the Micro Computer Museum. If you get a chance to go, it's an amazing place with a huge selection of old computers

Anyway, I got chatting to Leigh Thompson who used to write stuff for the Sinclair User covertapes. He was a most interesting chap to talk too.

I'm on my mobile, so can't check in detail but couldn't find him credited in ZXDB.

This is all I could find online:

I will have a proper look when I'm back home.

How did this come about? Does he work there?

He's not always credited in the magazine. but his Tips Amazing did feature on quite a few of the covertapes from that era.

Hi all,

I just Googled myself and found this.

Many thanks for the credit and the kind words.

Even though it's not Spectrum related but I also restore C5's which I have three. I also have the Zike, Zeta 1 & 2 and just found a wheelchair drive unit Sir Clive also invented.

PeterJ is correct, I volunteer at the museum in Ramsgate, which I'm their Sir Clive expert and hopefully I will soon be doing some things with his nephew Grant.

Anything Sinclair related is totally great! I remember seeing C5s tearing around the roadway around the MK bowl back when they were first made, maybe 1986-ish. Always wanted one. I know a chap I went to school with owns one he’s got gathering dust in his garage.
