Any specchums going to this? It's not far from me and I'm trying to decide if it's worth popping along for an afternoon. I was there about 6 years ago and had a good crack with the Bog Brothers. There was a decent central area that was mainly 8bits. It sounds like there's less of that now, but is it still a prominent feature?

There were still loads of 8-bits to go on at the Manchester Play Expo in May.

Bit of a long trip. I think I usually get to Corfu in less time that it would take me to get to Blackpool!

I decided to give it a go. There weren't many old Sinclair computers - A ZX81 with a blank screen, a 48K with JetPac on it (unfortunately jammed when I tried it) and a +2 with Rambo-3 (some scoundrel before gave it WASD keys!). Plenty of well smart arcade cabinets though.
Had a bash on the Next in a Lo-Fi case. Not sure I made the most of it's expanded features though...
Didn't know many faces there—nice to meet Prodge, the man of many polls

I was there. Quite fun, although I spend most of my time trying to get on arcades. Top 2 are currently:
Buggy Boy
Berzerk

Yeah same here. I was itching to try Rally-X but it was always bloody busy.

The No brek h tel could do with a bit of TLC inside and out. The oldest computer on show was probably 20 years younger than the decor.

A couple of weeks ago I was planning to go to this. Any excuse to go to the brilliantly awful (yes, I said brilliantly awful) town of Blackpool, which I visit every year, not just for retrogaming purposes. But I've already been to Blackpool this summer and I've got to look after the pennies leading up to
Christmas, so, reluctantly, I had to give this weekend a miss.
I did pop by during a long walk into Bispham and am pleased the usually dreadful Norbreck Castle Hotel (run by the, er, rather questionable
) had the outside in the middle of a fairly decent paint job. Looked far better than [url=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nWEvMe5UJno]when I was last there, in 2019.
The inside is still crumbling, stained and generally awful. Typical Britannia Hotels behaviour, sadly.
