Btw, Pac-man is still there for me in the Tools menu in the latest version. No idea what might've changed for anyone else.

Well, not for me.
All four Midway roms are in the appropriate /pacman/roms folder, but this option still doesnt appear in the Tools menu.
I'm using windows 7, but I doubt that's the problem here.
It worked fine up to v3.2 build 25/03/23.

Same for me. Windows 10 x64, no option present.

Not something I shall miss anyway, I already made a TAP file out of it following the instructions, and played it on real hardware through the DivMMC.

So apparently there's probably some bug affecting the Pac-Man option since there was some Pac-Man-related April Fool's code this year if you had the game ROMs installed or something.

Code: Select all

v3.4 build 14/02/24
-------------------

Fixed an RZX recording bug. Unlikely to ever trigger it but really don't want to throw recordings away!
Holding ALT when dropping tape images will flip the tape polarity for polarity sensitive loaders
Fixed a potential issue with loading stripe colours when ROM flash loading is disabled
Snow effect setting now defaults to enabled on new installs
Some minor bug fixes

Hi again Mark,
I also see that the file is again (as in the past for some SpecEmu releases) seen as infected by my antivirus.
After submitting it to Virustotal, it shows that 14 out of 64 antiviruses say it's infected.

I suppose it's a false positive, but can something be done about it? :)

Nope, gone on for years now, never gonna stop.

I know what the safest thing to do is. Use a better emulator :)

NO, SpecEmu is one of the best out there! :)
I would say THE best, regarding compatibility.

It's a good emulator, I never have had problems with virus.

Spectaculator, SpecEmu and ZX Spin; my top three favorite classic emulators, and the ones I still use the most on windows alongside Fuse on Linux.
Never had a virus alert issue with any of them.

Yeah, and if only @ZXDunny would update ZX Spin to modern features, I would use only one... :)
