My Avast antivirus detected something like a trojan and shut the connection with the site down, just when tried to download latest version. Any chance to upload it in another service, Google Drive, dropbox or something?

Uploading somewhere else wouldn't help anything, Specemu just always sets off virus scanners because it's a load of demented handwritten x86 assembly

You should look at your Avast Quarantine folder. From there you can release it and report it as "false-positive".

I don't find it there... except one file, not the emulator zip, to be checked. Still again, Avast communicates me latest version url is included in a blacklist once I try to download the zip again, except older versions of SpecEmu found in another folder at the web.

UPDATE: At the end, I had to deactivate Web Shield between Avast options (Protection > Basic Shields > Web Shield (on-off) and download v3.2-build emulator at last, although SpecEmu.exe is the file infected.

Yes. At the moment this share looks empty:

I suggest to try again later at: https://keybase.pub/woodywoodster
Maybe (hopefully) Woodster just reorders files. Or has he deleted his account at keybase.pub?!

Mark released a new version of SpecEmu, v3.2 build 18/12/2021.

What’s new:
Fixed screen flip timing during 7ffd out (thanks, Arjun Nair)
Fixed Kempston joystick interface behaviour when no joystick attached
What’s also new is that this is the first update that breaks the floating bus behavior in the +2A/+3. :(

Hey, Woodster, could you look into that when you have some time?
Every man should plant a tree, build a house, and write a ZX Spectrum game.

Author of A Yankee in Iraq, a 50 fps shoot-’em-up—the first game to utilize the floating bus on the +2A/+3,
and zasm Z80 Assembler syntax highlighter.

From Changelog:

Didn't fix the +3 floating bus for this release! (I knew it was broken but I had nothing to do with the release of that broken 18/12/21 version)
Added support for LDxR / CPxR block instruction interruption (INxR / OTxR coming after testing on real hardware too)
Fixed HALT behaviour
Fixed screen flip timing during 7ffd out (thanks, Arjun Nair)
Fixed Kempston joystick interface behaviour when no joystick attached

I'm discovering this great emulator, SpecEmu, it's amazing. Really really good. I use to develop games more than play them, is able to have keys in debug mode? Something like F5=Run (until a breakpioint), F7=step into, F8=step over.
Ah, and this could be a little hard to implement, but... in the Debugger window, the current line that is going to be executed, could be place in the middle? This is to watch what lines were previously executed.

But anyway, congrats Woodster !!!!

that's odd, so it passes all Patrik's tests but fails the new blocktest v5 now :?

Hi ,

I'd like to ask if running zipped disk images with specemu

I've just given it a try and couldn't figure how to do it

I've all my collection as .zip files so it'd be great to be able to run them compressed

Thanks and best regards

Just a quick question,
AVG keeps reporting that the SpecEmu.exe for 3.2.b31122 is infected with a virus (Win32:Konar-B) and that the site woodywoodster.keybase.pub is infected with URL:Blacklist.

Is this just AVG being a pain in the butt or is it something more serious?

Just did a check on Kaspersky and it's fine. Obviously, don't take my findings as a complete assurance though!

In case I´m not sure about false-postive finds, I check with multi-engine-scanner Viruscan on jotti.org (https://virusscan.jotti.org/).
Result for "specemu-3.2.b311221.zip" can be found here: https://virusscan.jotti.org/de-DE/files ... 5el9ciilek
