Jupiter Ace

Post by PeterJ »

I notice that the Jupiter Ace is included as a machine type in ZXDB, but we have no games listed.

What are the thoughts on including games for the machine? Obviously Steve Vickers was involved in the ZX81, ZX Spectrum and the Jupiter Ace, so that is a reason maybe to include titles.

However I understand that Paul Andrews owns the trademark so it may get complicated.

There is already an excellent Jupiter Ace resource, so maybe I have answered my own question?

The same could be said about the SAM.

I'm not a big fan of non-Sinclair machines being in the ZXDB, but I know that others are. I would just say that if you are going to increase the scope of the database then it's worth considering if there is the bandwidth, in terms of manpower, to actually cope with that additional workload. Keeping on top of the narrower Sinclair-specific material (and correcting reported mistakes) seems a big enough challenge as it is.
