Thanks guys.

I've gone through this thread, from first post to last, and corrected everything in ZXSR. There were some older ones which I was sure I had done which... well, I hadn't!

And just to let you all know where were are with the great Pre/Post-Covid ZXSR update: All updates have been corrected from Einar's spreadsheet of oh-so-long-ago now which includes many updates to it that I've noticed as I've gone through each issue. One thing I realised a couple of weeks ago is that there were quite a few Supplements that I had forgotten about or didn't even realise existed. I'm in the process of adding any reviews from these that I find and that should hopefully be it! I reckon it's about 95% complete now but there's also a refresh of the Crash data, some of which is full of formatting and spelling errors that I want to correct.

I'm getting there! Slowly but surely. Just over 15,000 reviews in the main table now and a few more to add.

just to make sure that you will not stay without something to do… ;-)

Monty on the Run contains the review for On The Run. it's "Your Spectrum Issue 19, October 1985 page(s) 44".

Cheers. This one's already been fixed (although not live on SC yet) after the mistake was shown up in Einar's CSV extract.

Not a problem and please do continue reporting anything you see. It could very well be that it's something that the comparison between the two databases hasn't been picked up and that both ZXDB and ZXSR are incorrect. I've certainly found some of those in this project.

Mastertronic's Protector: https://spectrumcomputing.co.uk/entry/3 ... /Protector

This is listed as having gained 4% in Crash, and that's also repeated in the ZX Spectrum Reviews page here:
https://spectrumcomputing.co.uk/zxsr.php?id=3902

However, looking at the Crash scan, there's a crease or misprint from top to bottom of the page that is hiding the second digit of the percentage score.
It definitely doesn't have a 4% review vibe to it, either.

Mobygames lists the Crash score as 47% here: https://www.mobygames.com/game/protector_______

The YouTube video embedded on the Elite page is a gameplay from a 2019 hack of Elite:
https://spectrumcomputing.co.uk/entry/1 ... trum/Elite

Also that hack/mod doesn't seem to be in the database.

I thought you were correct after reading the review and it led me to download the newer high-res version of that issue. Yup, it is definitely 47%, not 4%. Updated ZXSR and it will be available in the next release.

Great spot!

The Hunt for Red October - Based on the Book was reviewed in Crash #50.

The Hunt for Red October - Based on the Movie was reviewed in Crash #89.

ZXSR currently associates both reviews with the former title.

This was reported in the bugs thread in February 2021 and marked as "reviewed". The re-release by Unique is also still wrong!

That's ZXDB, not ZXSR.

Unfortunately there's a considerable delay between a post being marked as "reviewed", and this change appearing online.

Usually Dario marks a post as "reviewed" when he adds a fix to a SQL file. Then it takes about 2 weeks for him to send me his file, another week for me to release a new ZXDB containing this fix, a couple more days for Peter to update this site.

About this point... are you sure?

The image that appears in the Unique inlay is obviously from the Book version. However Unique added the Paramount logo and copyright in this inlay, thus implying it's actually the Movie version.

As well as the artwork, the screenshots and the text describing it as a "highly accurate simulation" on the Unique inlay are the same as the Book version. The "Movie" version of the game is an arcade game not a simulation.

It has the Paramount logo and copyright because Paramount were the current holders of the licence at the time the Unique release was published.

HoL also lists the Unique release as the Book version.

The issue 76 of Sinclair User review referenced here:

is for a completely different Hercules game.

Thank you, Einar. These have been corrected (including the others - the Quote your post didn't bring them across).

Thanks Peter and Paul. It's been corrected.

This correction, and the two above, will all be present in the next ZXSR release.

JetPac's average score isn't taking the review scores from C&VG and ZX Computing (both 90%) into account for it's average score, leaving the average to be based solely on a 60% 1987 re-release score from Sinclair User.

These two scores aren't listed against the review entries in the Magazine Reviews section, but they do show in the ZXSR entry.

Each of those 2 reviews give several scores to different aspects (value, playability, lasting appeal, etc) but none of these aspects is an overall score.

Since average score is calculated from each review's overall score, they were not included in the calculation.
