Hi Speccy Peeps!
I wrote a rather basic online ZX Spectrum UDG editor a few years ago.
It's here:
http://www.amelyn.com/speccy_character_builder/
Hope it helps anybody looking to edit speccy UDGs. Feedback would be appreciated, along with any feature requests to make it more useful.
I was considering expanding it to make it like a 32 x 32 speccy sprite editor, or possibly making it so that you could edit a whole bunch of UDGs, then export them using a single EXPORT ALL UDGS button.
Let me know what you think.
Miktorius.
Online Speccy UDG editor
Re: Online Speccy UDG editor
I've just noticed that the values at the side of the pic don't recalculate when any of the function buttons on the right are clicked. They are recalculated in the text box at the bottom, but not to the right pf the UDG. So I'm guessing that, four years later, this is going to be the first thing I get round to fixing.
Re: Online Speccy UDG editor
How about...
4x4 UDG (or bigger) UDG editor.
Which can export the data in a number of data formats (so I can easily import them into my .ASM as defb statements).
A bit like sevenup did/does. I'd appreciate that as a web based thing, so I can do it on my mac.
Also, if I could have click (and drag) to turn pixels on/off, so I'm not clicking every pixel to draw a line. I'd enjoythat.

Re: Online Speccy UDG editor
Just fixed the bug so that the values at to the right of the big UDG are now recalculated whenever any of the functions on the right are used.

Do you mean 4 x4 UDGs (i.e. 32 x 32 pixels)?

Re: Online Speccy UDG editor
I suppose 2x2 (16x16), 3x3 (24x24), 4x4 (32x32).
I can't imagine I'm ever likely to need larger than that. I'm not Don Priestley!
