Interesting. The Atarians in my area used to brag about it, so I thought it was an Atari exclusive. ZX screens look pretty decent though. Might try playing it side by side later.

I was quite surprised that people don't recognised it immediately. It is a good game, though 90% given by Crash Is little bit over.
Don't hesitate to use infinite lives, Draconus is rather about exploration than fights. I vaguely remember character control was far from perfect.

Funnily enough when I saw the fish I thought that looks like the Players style but couldn't see a screenshot that had it.

Anyway, I've kept this largeish but have edited out the main character.

Might as well go straight in with the next one...

I took two screenshots from this game, so I'll do the harder one first.

Ha!

Serves me right for relying on my the memory of a game from 30 years ago!

Ha! The latter. 8-)

EDIT: Ok, a real clue. It may not be obvious, but the bottle and glass are isometric. (or some kind of projection... I just don't know any more! :? )

The only iso game I can think of with very detailed graphics like that is Inside Outing.

Close, though HotM would've been blockier (and doesn't tend to have that same 'distance' perspective as the other Gargoyle games)...

I know it's not the answer but it looks a bit like the colour scheme during the Marshmallow Man rampage on the main city map in Ghostbusters.

It's a very weird game, graphically. The window isn't part of the playing area. Here's a teeny bit more...
