I think LM had its finger on the yoof pulse a bit more than I originally reckoned.

Issue 1, page 20 is an interview with a pre Massive Attack Robert '3D' Del Naja. who was at one point also rumoured to be Banksy..

I've seen these scans before and they made me wonder why there was ever any debate over the meaning of 'LM', a contention that remains today on the LM Wikipedia page:

"The meaning of the name LM was never officially revealed to the public, though it was variously said to be short for Leisure Magazine, Leisure Monthly, or the pseudonymous Lloyd Mangram"

I mean, the answer is right there, on the cover:

I don't know a great deal about this magazine. Was there only issue 0-4?

btw, i've grabbed those form archive.org, many thanks for uploading them. Going to have a blast reading through these.
I don't have anything cool to put here, so i'll just be off now to see a priest with yeast stuck between his teeth and his friend called Keith who's a hairpiece thief...

Yep, it was quite the overreach for Newsfield, seems to be the distillation of the LM farrago. Shame, because it was only a handful of years before the UK’s lad-mag revolution — and my feeling is that LM wasn’t a million miles off being part of or even kicking off that trend.

I have converted the five issues of LM magazine to PDF (I prefer this format when reading on my tablet). You can download them here:

Thanks again to @Mort for scanning them.

Thanks for sharing those @PeterJ - I've snaffled them for future reading.

I suspect, like hitm4n, that I will remember the "free" issue 0 pretty well once I look through it (I seem to remember a feature on Superman IV, and something about James Bond?), but definitely didn't buy any further issues.

Never knew there were only 4 full issues produced either! I imagine some of those are very hard to get hold of these days.

Just for a bit of extra reading, CRASH introduces LM: https://www.crashonline.org.uk/36/lm.htm

and the editorial announcing it closing down: https://www.crashonline.org.uk/41/editrl.htm
