I have a vague memory of a Spanish version, or clone, of this type of game.

West Bank is a Spanish game in fact, first released by Dinamic. Gremlin translated it to English and marketed it in the UK and elsewhere.

...and MicroHobby released another version called Silver Gun on one of their tapes.

Yes, that's true, but maybe @zxbruno refers to Silven Gun, a quite good clone of Bank Panic (albeit a bit slow compared to West Bank) released on Microhobby magazine issue 182 cover tape. https://spectrumcomputing.co.uk/entry/4 ...
