Ship of Doom - "Incentive" version?

Originally published by Artic for ZX80, 81, Spectrum et. al.

We have a snapshot of a later version of the game programmed in GAC in the database. This is commonly referenced to being an Incentive re-release.

Does anyone have any ideas where that information came from? Any magazine references etc. to that reissue?

I've always taken that information as being true, but I can't immediately see any primary source evidence for it, and I've never seen an Incentive release of the game in the wild.

It could just be a fan-made remake in the GAC engine? Many of the graphics are well done but the text is just as bare-bones as the original so it seems an odd choice for a re-issue to show off the GAC.
