Spectrum related shop signs

Post by PeterJ »

We came across this whilst in Tenterden, Kent yesterday.

Has anyone else seen any other good examples?

We popped up to An Gearasdan (Fort William) a few weeks ago for vaccination at the former Nevis Centre, and I stopped in the blustery rain to take this pic ("I know a bunch of folk who'll like this", I thought)!

I'm sure you got the same kind of response from your other half as I did when stopping to take the photograph!

We had this cafe in Bristol for a while, though it's closed down now I think:

Never mind the Avalon sign, I read and re-read that as the Nazi barber shop.

Our Spectrum was something of a "children's indoor play centre", too! (Sir Clive would not approve.)

A white commercial van with a livery that reads "QAPM"

There are a number of games that only need Left, Right and Fire. But can you think of any that use Up, Down, Right and Fire but not Left?!

Without leaving Derbyshire, there's a 'Finders Keepers' furniture shop in Whaley Bridge, and a 'Spellbound' tattoo shop in Ilkeston. Sadly I couldn't find a 'Knight Tyme' in the UK (there is a courier service in Atlanta, USA, though) or a Stormbringer (but there is a DIY shop in northern Poland).

That's five minutes from me, I must've seen it a thousand times, and yet I've never made the connection until now.

Yep, I do a double take whenever I see it.

They'll wonder why customers only ever want a greased fringe and a sick fade.
