I love how this thread is full of images I never thought I'd see on a Spectrum, yet feel natural and unforced in their own context - a complete artistic expression. I've been noticing (perhaps incorrectly?) that a repeating detail of your work seems to be a strict adherence to chess/checkerboard dithering - so I may be the only person amused by the fact you got that neat bubble-translucency effect by offsetting it by 1 pixel
