Re: Showcasing my graphics
I suppose I half know the answer(s) but Grongy’s work is so refined that I wonder why we never enjoyed this level of quality BITD? There’s nothing here that couldn’t have been achieved back when but I’m guessing modern tools just make it a whole lot easier and quicker to create/iterate? (Sure, I know that are plenty of stunning period pix but modern efforts like Grongy’s just seems next level.) Mind you, there were all sorts of code-development systems for programmers that didn’t involve the Spectrum until execution time — did artists not enjoy the same kind of off-Spectrum tools?

Re: Showcasing my graphics
They were able to get digital images into the spectrum ie those arcade conversions like mr.heli looked like poor quality importing of graphics.
But still screens were not profitable

Re: Showcasing my graphics
Some interesting comments (and language!) on the previous page, and I could easily comment on all Grongy's images myself. Though perhaps it's more respectful to this man's hard work if his thread is more like an art gallery, without his artwork getting swamped in too much chatter?

It’s a forum, people post comments, that’s the whole idea.
Grongy’s website is the best place to view all the artwork as it’s regularly updated and there’s some pics on there that haven’t been posted on here:

Re: Showcasing my graphics
I would love to see your ratings of my pics (as well as other artworks by talented artists in case you haven't done it yet) That's another reason to visit it!stupidget wrote: ↑Fri Oct 13, 2023 7:30 am It’s a forum, people post comments, that’s the whole idea.
