There are 2 versions of the game. The latest one should work as I have the cassette and play it on my +2A (that was an issue addressed before the release of the cassette version ;) )

Ah OK, is there a link to the compatible version online?

A small update:
  • The Erbe and Hit Squad re-releases of Batman are compatible with the +2A/+3. I added a TAP file based on the former, which can also be found in the TAP collection for the DivIDE/DivMMC, and removed the fix from section 2.
  • I found Regulus to be incompatible and made a fix for it.

Ugh! With my attention focused on the Spectrumpedia in the last few months, this must have slipped under my nose.

At least I made a fixed TAP file and put it on the web page nonetheless.

it`s corrected vector for im2 in the music player
I tried it and it did not work, the game still resets. As mentioned, I have in my cassette the + version by Slider. The Basic listing has a "Slider" text.

Could this + version also be fixed with a Poke?

Thanks!

I can only try the traditional way, that is, via Pokes. I do not have knowledge or material to do it other way. I even did not make the cassette by myself, I always ask @Neil Parsons to burn them and he send them to me from Spain to Germany.

I think the problem here is that the + version of Regulus may be different in this issue than the original one, but probably there is another Poke that can solve it too.

Think I've found another one. Can't find a version of this that doesn't crash on the loading screen of a +2A, on real hardware or emulation.

Hi, did you try loading the game under 48 BASIC?

Yes, finished loading but then just stays on the loading screen. Pressing buttons causes a reset.

Think I've found another... Play it again Sam https://spectrumcomputing.co.uk/entry/6 ... _Again_Sam

In 128k mode it resets after loading, in 48k mode it crashes.

I loaded the game successfully in 48 BASIC with Spectaculator, SpecEmu, Fuse and UnrealSpeccy, all latest versions. Later this week when I have a bit more time on my hands I should load it on real hardware.

In 128k mode it resets after loading, in 48k mode it crashes.
The game, as per the instructions, must be loaded in 48 mode, even on the 128/+2. Even when doing that, on the +2A/+3 it suffers from the usual "incorrect IM 2 vector table syndrome", a common cause of incompatibility.

I've never managed to get GAC to load on a Grey +2. BITD when I had my Grey +2 GAC would never work even in 48k mode and even when I got a +2 a few years ago and bought another copy of GAC that doesn't work either.

The list has been updated with the inclusion of the fixes for No. 1 and Play It Again Sam.

Also, Batman has been moved to section 1 since the Erbe re-release is +2A/+3 compatible.

Already seen. Type USR0 at the +3 BASIC command prompt, then load the game with LOAD "".

Is there an ENGLISH LANGAGE version of this that works with a +2a?

The games loads, but then inputs don't seem to do anything. Strangely the options on the title screen are numbered 2-4, with no number 1.

Tried on real hardware, and Spectaculator using Normal +2A loader, 48k mode, and +3 Basic with USR0. Same result every time.

Only the Spanish version included in https://spectrumcomputing.co.uk/entry/1 ... 187_Tape_6 works ok, but as I say... looking for an English version.

The problem you describe is not specific to the +2A/+3. It has been known for a very long time:

https://worldofspectrum.org/forums/disc ... omment_184

Apparently the Gremlin Graphics translation was based on the old releases which needed an Issue 2 ULA to read the input from keys. The Dinamic "small case (different)" release is the one where the problem was fixed.

There is a patch on the Tipshop that must be loaded before the Gremlin translation in order to make it playable with Issue 3 and later Spectrums. But be careful, it contains two small programs, and you should only load the second, namely "ASP KBFix". The first one is a cheat that will give you immunity and infinite lives, which removes all the challenge from a hard and taxing game like ASP - and in general, it is my belief that POKEs are for wimps

https://www.the-tipshop.co.uk/hacks/Arc ... bo][p].tap

P.S. I just added a fixed TAP file I made of the Gremlin translation to the collection for the DivIDE/DivMMC, you might want to play with it :)
