Tasword Printing

Post by PeterJ »

Inspired by this thread

I was looking at Tasword and thinking about the ability to be able to print. I know Fuse emulates the ZX Printer and can output to a text file, but is there any emulator which would ideally print to PDF and correctly format the bolds and italics?

I know it's a big ask, but thought I would ask anyway.

There's no great solution for printer emulation, probably because most emulation on all platforms is driven by boring games rubbish rather than the exciting world of office software.
Rich of rwap software has written something as part of their pi based printer emulator thingy.
There's a thread on the subject with comparisons of different solutions on stardot: https://stardot.org.uk/forums/viewtopic.php?t=15516

I was hoping to find emulation of something like my LQ-100 but it seems that sort of functionality is a long way off still.
