What is the average age on here??
An idea shamelessly copied inspired from elsewhere…
So, I’ll start.
I’m 53 in Earth years.
Now, don't be shy!
I will take the average after we have 50 'ages'......
BTW, this is compulsory

Standby alert
“There are four lights!”
Step up to red alert. Sir, are you absolutely sure? It does mean changing the bulb
Looking forward to summer later in the year.

54 Mark,
And my mother's maiden name is Snosbottom, I was born in Ventnor, and my first pet was called Mable.
Only joking, good idea

Half a century here
Re: What is the average age on here??
A couple of years and I will be a half a century old as well. I look much younger, though.

56. I was 2 weeks old when I watched England win the world cup (apparently I was handed around my dad's friends who were all trying to watch a tiny black and white TV)

Am I really the oldest one here or is it that the more senior gentlemen here
1) don't want to admit it
2) can't remember their age

48 in just over a month. Where did it go?
Re: What is the average age on here??
Don't worry, I know for sure there are older gentleman than you here.
Re: What is the average age on here??
49 last month, but still act as if I’m in my mid 20s. It was only when I cracked 3 ribs downhill mountain biking last year that I realised that I’m really not 25 years old anymore

I know there are some "young'uns" on here. Need a couple to post their age, to get us out of Saga territory.

Re: What is the average age on here??
I'm 52 .... On Wednesday 27th!
Had a ZX81 in '81 and then rubber key Speccy in a Lo-Profile keyboard in '83.
Started collecting after getting very ill in 2019 and being housebound (now all clear and renovating property but life's changed dramatically, and for the better!)
Started by getting a ZX81 to basically 'look' at after 40 years and it kinda grew from there once the fire was ignited again!
And now I have...
ZX80 in original polys with white PSU & manual.
Early ZX81 issue 1 as complete boxed set.
Issue 3 ZX81, complete set in box refurbished by Mutant Caterpillar with rubber overlay keyboard.
Issue 3 ZX81 in box, working and untouched.
ZX81 with internal 32K, vla81 ula, composite out and rubber overlay keyboard (my stock unit as it does every job).
Several boxed 16K RAM packs including early Sinclair one (for use with ZX80 or ZX81 on box).
2 issue 2 Spectrums, one refurbished by Mutant.
Issue 3 original board in Lo-Profile keyboard.
Harlequin 128k in rubber key case.
Toastrack boxed complete kit, refurbished by Mutant Caterpillar.
Zon-X 81 boxed and working.
ZX Printer boxed, refurbished by Mutant.
TZXDuino.
DivMMC.
Byte Delight's HDMI/ULA+ interface.
Various Kempston joystick interfaces and Atari/Quickshot sticks.
Modded Sinclair TV80 to accept RF input.
Various cassette players and Jack leads etc.
Still looking for that elusive ZXpand and CHROMA interface, as well as any original ZX80 cassette software.
Also like to thank everyone and anyone on here and the ZX80/ZX81 forum who's offered help or submitted info & software as it sometimes good un-noticed.
