Kat Trap always left me wondering WHY DID THEY DO THAT? The sprites in the lives indicator, red on yellow, look great. But in the game area they're all white on a dark background - inverted - and they all look terrible.

Nope! Although I don't imagine the competition winner actually submitted the pixel-drawn sprites for use in the game...

I did just find the sketch the game was based on, and he did the sketch in black ink then coloured in the background. Apart from completely ruining the design by inverting the graphics on the first stage to white ink, it looked very much like his original sketch.
