Woah, how did I make a clanger like that? There are four games of that name for the Speccy and yeah, everyone knows the really big famous one and I accidentally got their screenshots in there, for a TEXT ADVENTURE! Aaargh!

But thanks for pointing it out, I'm within the hour time limit to edit the above post, so it's been corrected!

Central Solutions also has Podder by Greg & John Holmes. It's not much of anything but it's the only one I've played.

Devil's Descent for me, the only one I've played, though.

But it's a cute game I never played before.

Funnily enough, a guy at school also mistook Commando for its more famous namesake and I ended up picking up the tape it was on as a makeweight in a swap.

It's not much of a game, to be honest. Operation Turtle on the reverse of the tape is a clear cut above it, so that's what I've voted for.

I checked out the non-adventure ones and picked the least worst - Devil's Descent. It's also the only one I was previously aware of - I think Nick Jenkins covered it on YouTube.

Both that and Valley of the Dead would be a lot better without having to sit through annoying sound effects/"music".

Hidden City would do well to stay hidden. (edit: I just noticed it's written by Tim Gilberts, the Gil in Glisoft! He did well to specialise in adventures!)

I couldn't be bothered sifting through the adventures. Imagine asking for Commando for Chrimbo and getting this low-effort Quilled adventure.

Now, I could re-do this whole poll on Sunday, although I don't know about the popularity (or lack of) for these games. I'm a bit embarrassed to have left them out, it's not come up in the discussion phase the previous week, but, for completeness' sake, here they are...

I do think on the whole though you did get a fair bit for your money with these, the double play ones anyway. The pack I got well they were not great but for the couple of £ , I could of done a lot worse and had done in the past too. < That's 'then' not now.

Also missing off the list is The Greatest Show On Earth, a set of mini-games set in the circus, it's rubbish but I do play it occasionally, and A Trick Of The Tale, a plodding MM clone which is beyond rubbish. I don't think the inclusion of them would make any difference to the outcome of this poll, given how obscure the label is.

With 4 votes, Devil's Descent is the outright winner.

Second place goes to A Tangled Tale with two votes.
