Landscape artwork and other stuff

Post by helpcomputer0 »

Hi,

I wanted to share some Speccy pixel art I've done over the last couple of years, and I'll be posting new stuff here too. It's mostly landscapes but I do some weird stuff too. I like to try different styles, sometimes it works and sometimes not :D

Let me know if you have any suggestions for good subjects for Speccy pixel art too!

I posted a thread with my game mockups here if you're interested or want art for a game: viewtopic.php?t=7051

These are beautiful. I like 'Outpost' especially. They would make for one hell of a text adventure.

Fantastic stuff :O

It seems that there are a few great new artists working on the Speccy in the last few years and I am loving it :)

In case it interests you, I'll make the same offer that I made to @Grongy in his "Showcasing my graphics" thread - if you ever want to make a slideshow (or something more) then I would be more than happy to help. I literally have the code to do this just sat waiting in GitHub :)

Thanks Paul! I think I will eventually, maybe end of this year? It's been my most productive year so might be a good time.

Gorgeous work! Love the van Gogh - I've often thought he was quite "Spectrummy" in his bold use of colours and textures.

Thank you for this. Talented for sure.

The Spanish magazine Microhobby had a screen$ section that sometimes had beautiful landscapes, created by its readers. Your art unlocked those memories.

A total understatement it is amazing what can be produced with a limited palette and only 2 colours per pixel. I'm in awe.

I think about this too about lots of other games. We do have much better tools these days though so it's much easier to create what you want.
