If it were technically possible, I definitely think this would be the artist for the job! Some of his landscapes would look amazing with tiny touches of slow animation such as rustling leaves or rippling water.
I think I said at the time I first saw it, this would look great with a little cycling water animation and a plasma effect wiping across the BRIGHT bits.

And also, as I said with Grongy's stuff, you could do an adventure in the style of one of those Japanese daft 'dating sim' type games, by having whole-UDG black-outlined character portraits pop-up over the scenery, rather than adding sprites into the scene. Objects and actions might have to be inserted into the scene, but again, maybe they could be done as square icons, with maybe a 'look' option to just see the view with such overlays disabled.

This would make an excellent screen in a text adventure. It just oozes a magical ethereal feeling.

Any chance you could do 12 character's? I'd be more than happy to pay for a calendar with these pics on. We could think about maybe doing it as a fund raiser with proceeds going to a mutually agreed charity.

That would be over 100 hours work and I don't have time right now with work etc.

Here's a slideshow demo of helpcomputer0's awesome graphics skills, released today. Music from the equally talented n1k-o. You'll have seen most (all?) of these pics in the this thread already.. but grab a tea/coffee/wine/beer and then sit back and enjoy the show.

More info (and a downlink link) here: https://www.pouet.net/prod.php?which=93814

And.. yes.. this is the first in a series - there are more to come from other artists :)

Well dang. Imagine a fighting game with this sort of graphics. o.o Even if with char based movement and all that (might actually work somewhat at that scale)...

The great thing about these pics is that they evoke a real sense of ethereal majesty. I just want to jump in and discover all the secrets of each scene :)

I’m off for a few days but I’ll definitely be placing an order when I get back.
