I'm always looking at ways we can say thank you to users that donate to the site (either financially or with hardware contributions). I know it's hard out there at the moment, so I will never do anything to limit the existing experience for users who are unable to (or choose not to) contribute financially.

If you have ever donated (and have been a forum member for 30+ days) and would like the ability to upload files in posts please send me a PM. The file upload facility is for temporary storage (for example if want to upload a new game) and want to share it whilst waiting for it to be added to ZXDB. Files will be removed after 30 days. There will also be a size limit.

Once you have the new role you will see this additional tab below the post composing page:
