Game Over Nipples Affaire
Game Over Nipples Affaire
I was looking the covers of the Spanish and UK versions of Hundra (https://spectrumcomputing.co.uk/entry/2 ... rum/Hundra) and was thinking if it's something like with Game Over (https://spectrumcomputing.co.uk/entry/1 ... /Game_Over) and if this happened in more cases.

Hi @goodboy,
so you found the source for the Hundra cover art?
Could you tell us something about the author? I noticed the file name reads "fantasy-art-women-russian-painting" by the way.

@+3code Yes, in fact the art is by Luis Royo, I should have been looking at the entry in the archive first.

Who knows why the filename is named that way then.
Edit: Apparently some paintings by Luis Royo were later reused as game covers? According to this article, they also appeared on the cover of several issues of Heavy Metal, the comics magazine born as an US offshoot of the legendary Metal Hurlant:

(warning: some images could not be entirely safe for work!)
Notice the first two in particular which were used as covers for Game Over and La Aventura Espacial.

Re: Game Over Nipples Affaire
I still remembered TurboGirl, Satan and ComandoTracer (yes, it's Luis Royo )
Re: Game Over Nipples Affaire
Yes, this was habitual. I remember seeing a lot of Luis Royo illustrations used in the sci-fi books of a a well know (in Spain) editor, Martinez Roca.Alessandro wrote: ↑Sun Dec 18, 2022 8:17 pm Edit: Apparently some paintings by Luis Royo were later reused as game covers?
