I mean, 'virtual' disks.
I have the install files of the excellent Veil of Darkness in my laptop:
DISK.001
DISK.002
DISK.003
INSTALL.EXE
(originally the game came in three disks, .exe & .001 in the first, .002 in the 2nd and .003 in the 3rd)
They're in d:\MSDOS\VEIL, so I start with
MOUNT C: D:\MSDOS
MOUNT A: D:\MSDOS\VEIL
then I go to A: and type INSTALL, and the next error message appears:
FATAL ERROR. I CAN'T FIND INSTALL.EXE
What have I made wrong? How can I install it properly?

Re: DOSBOX - How to install from disks
Thanks for the answers.
I clicked on the link you provided and made this:
MOUNT a d:\MSDOS\VEIL -t floppy
and then type
A:
and run install, but the same error message appears!
The install files are in D:\MSDOS\VEIL
I keep trying...

Re: DOSBOX - How to install from disks
I extracted files from floppy images and put to folder - installer works.
In some cases read about ctrl+F4(swapping floppies)

Re: DOSBOX - How to install from disks
I finally found the solution.
My files are from the original floppy disks. 20 years ago, I recorded it to a CD to preserve it as then my new computer didn't include a floppy disk. I realized that whenever you record a file on CD, that file is saved 'read only', so this was the problem...
I just disabled the 'read only' tick box in every archive and run DOSBOX. It works without any problems. [PLEASE INCLUDE THE 'HACKER' MEME HERE ]
Anyway, thanks for the replies!
