The Story Of Sir Lancelot

Post by Wizwords »

I interviewed Stephen Cargill for Antstream Arcade about his first big Speccy game, Sir Lancelot by Melbourne House.

Nice interview. I was writing with Stephen Cargill (probably) about 15 years ago, with the intention to get an interview with him into Retro Gamer Magazine, but as far as I remember - although he said "yes" he never really seemed that interested, so I never pushed the agenda further.

But it's a great little game and certainly one of the best 16K games ever - SO much playability in such a little space. Amazing!

And it being a favorite of mine, Sir Lancelot was also the first game I ever remade. It was my first game ever and I remade it (afair) in 5 weeks for the 'Retro Remakes Competition' in 2004 where it came in as #11 out of 76 entries. Just as hard as the original, lol (I wish I'd made it easier)

... wow, 19 years ago

Nice interview, and it got me to give Sir Lancelot a try again. Level 4 baby!

It must be very odd, getting asked about something you wrote when you were 17, all these years later.
