Taskmaster Software was a short-lived publisher started by the students R. Powell and E. Toovey, to develop and commercialize text adventures for the ZX Spectrum. They bought licenses for both {Graphic Adventure Creator|Incentive Software Ltd|0006391} and {Professional Adventure Writer|Gilsoft International|0006825}, and started to work on a text adventure based on the latter. {The Dragnet Case|Taskmaster Software|0017418} was almost ready, but Powell moved to another city and Toovey got busy at school, so that was the end of Taskmaster Software.
