Reviews for Eagle (#1561)

Hooray for Juliet Software the Spanish equivilant to Tiertex, because pretty much all of their games are rubbish. Stop Ball, which I paid £2 for and still regret it, was the worst game I ever bought and this is just as bad, better because there's a bit of gameplay in this unlike Stop Ball which had none, although I use that term loosely..."a bit".
It's meant to be a shooter which you shoot objects like a snooker triangle, a pyramid and a diamond shaped chocolate sweet, well at least that's what they look like, oh and you can move backwards or forwards. No ememies at all though, just these objects. Very tedious, very boring, there's hardly any gameplay here.
Anyways you must survive the time limit without dying (I think) before it moves to the second part which is reminiscent of Stop Ball, because there's hardly any graphics and there's hardly any gameplay...oh wait I just said that already.
What a mess of a game this is, very little in this at all, it's still better than Stop Ball because of the tiny bit of gameplay it has at the first bit but other than that it's still an awful game.
Here's some advice, if it's Juliet Software it's for the bin.
Starts as a bidirectional vertical shooter in which you destroy structures at ground level, after some time you gain access to a second level, where I wasn't able to undestand the goal, nor I was much interested to, even the early leverl is not exactly very good, in the first place.

It's a Juliet Software development which usually spells disaster as they wrote a number of crap games, and this is no different. First off the keys are a disaster, K for left, ENTER for right, yes bloody Enter, O for up, Symbol Shift for down, L for fire and B for bomb, these keys absolutely do not work on a modern day keyboard!! The first part of the game is bland but at least it's something to do and you can understand it, unlike some of Juliet's other games like Caverns of Death which was just a disaster from start to finish. I'm thinking to myself, it's not that bad, it's not good but at least it's not as bad as some of their other games and I have at least played and seen worse. Then the worse came! The second part is an ugly, nonsensical mess with no meaning, no understanding and no hope. And now suddenly this is tripe, it gets a 1 and I never want to see it ever again. Fly away Eagle, good riddance and don't ever come back!

This is uninteresting shoot 'em up, with few appeal. The first level basically takes the player on a ride avoiding some sort of futuristic/alien buildings or structures which either can be destroyed or simply avoided. When the counter reaches zero you move on to the next level. I didn't understand this one, and because the game is rather boring I didn't persuade myself into it. I'll leave that job to the next reviewer.
By the way, the keys, like YOR says in his review are more than weird, they are alien suited. But, you can use the cursor keys.
