Eliminator by Hewson Consultants could have been a good shoot-em-up, but the graphics spoil it. The choice of colour makes it very difficult to see where you're going and what you suppose to be shooting and avoiding. Blue and yellow colour is bad enough, but they soon change to green and blue which makes it a lot worse. I didn't get very far as a result of it.
The game does contain good music from Nick Jones, but that's all that's good from Eliminator. Pity really, it could have been so much more.

The colours are a negative for sure but this is still a pretty decent game. The speed is really good and it has enough to maintain a portion of entertainment. Could have been more if the colours weren't so bad but it's not too bad.
Eliminator, conceived by Nebulus guy John Phillips, seems to blend Space Harrier with a race driving game, or with Metro-Cross, with its view from behind on a fast moving chequered track in which the semi-trasparent sprites tend to appear confusingly, lots of shooting, of dodging and ramps to jump over the obstacles. It's good.

This is actually a crossover of genres, you get half a shoot 'em up, and half a bit of a racing game, well not exactly, it's basically a 3D shoot 'em up. It's quite good but it gets boring quickly, the progression is not that varied and you get stuck with this yellow/blue and green/blue color scheme most of the time. The enemy waves are well done and varied but a bit confusing, mixing with the background. Overall there is a good game inside but could have been way better is more polished.
