Reviews for Fire Hawks (#1768)

Review by Stack on 20 Jan 2014 (Rating: 1)

Terrible jerky shooter meets rugby game in which the Hawks don't shoot back at you but instead try and sneak past your defensive line to score a deadly try.

It's fast and frantic but it's also difficult and also not very good. No matter what the enemies seem to make their way to the bottom anyway even after firing at them and there seems to be no end to you "starting wave". It's not the worst 16K shooter but it's far from the best.

1984 Postern Ltd (UK)
by David Hoskins and Clive Davies

If a buyer in 1984 looked at the images on the tape sleeve it would really get excited because the game features big colorful graphics.
There is also plenty of sound, but the games lacks which is most important: play ability.
It's jerky, not player friendly, some aliens appears out of nowhere making it unfair and it's not fun at all.

A poor variant on the Phoenix theme.
