A covergame original from Your Sinclair in February 1993 and my what a confusing game this turned out to be. First off, it cannot be played solo and can only be played with 2, 3 or 4 players, and there’s only one of me, it is a recurrence that I wish was extinguished. You first have to place counters on the board and you do so with the goal of getting your counters close to each other to make a line. I believe the goal is to create hexagons, going solely by the Hex in the title, but after the initial counter placement you can only move counters one space at a time, and this is where things get confusing for the controls are an absolute pain in the gonads! It gets to the points where the game cannot determine what is left and what is right and moving around the board became a chore as a result of this. This might have been much more enjoyable if not for that and it ruined the whole thing for me. The only thing “hexcellent” about this game is the fricking migraine I’ve received from it!
