An early foray into the games market by Virgin Games, Sheepwalk is one of the least playable games ever written for the ZX Spectrum.
The concept is excellent: get the sheep into the pen and try to prevent them eating the crops in the next field. Points are awarded for rounding them up, and deducted for trampled/eaten crops, and for sheep drowned. As such, there is much scope for mischief by chasing sheep into the river or trampling all over the turnips.
Unfortunately, the game is written in interpreted BASIC, and the lack of speed and responsiveness makes it a chore to play. A brilliant idea, poorly executed.
