For an early Speccy game, from 1984, this title isn't too bad. It feels a bit like a Space Invaders title. However, the skill level required is slightly higher as the Aliens (or ThunderHawks) swoop down at you as they attack.
The game only has three real levels, then it repeats on it's self, but the third level has a great surprise in the form of a Boss Level. Shoot away the underside of the Mother-Ship and then destroy the Alien Leader within!
Good couple of minutes of fun to be had, but that said there are plenty of games on the Speccy far better than this one.

I quite enjoy this game, however, I did own it as a kid on the double tape that came bundled with 'WhoDunnIt' and all for £1.99. So as a kid I was well happy with that!
The game is obviously written in Basic Code and it shows. The graphics are nothing to write home about and the story doesn't fit the game? (The real Alcatraz being a prison on an island in the USA and the game seems to be a POW camp in somewhere like Germany?)
Apart from that, the game is quite simple to complete when you work out the pattern on the map. Worth a play, but again there are plenty of better games out there on the Speccy!

Not a great game, however, I did own this as a kid on the 2 for 1 tape that also had 'Alcatraz Harry' all for £1.99. So I was very happy with it back in the day.
Playing the game now it doesn't really giv e you enough time to catch the suspects before they disappear, which can be very frustrating!
Also, the amount of clues the suspects give you throughout the games doesn't allow you to work out Who Done It? So at the end it all comes down to guess work any way?
Good for a quick play but not one you will want to play over and over again?

One of the best text adventures I have play, to date, on the Speccy. Its a game I could never complete as a kid but going back to it at 33 years old, it was fun, tricky and had a well thought out story and map. Well worth playing through. "Just remember to examine the walls" ;)

Mrs. Mopp. An early game from my youth playing games on the Speccy. Not a classic game by any means but still a good playable title. Simple one screen game where you must collect different items using different cleaning products. A good score challenge game.
The game is only let down by the way you can get easily trapped and only have a very limited "Spell Power" to get out of a tight spot.
Still well worth a few minutes...

Not an awful game, but a very basic one. You control your player in a small 'maze' and your goal is to take out all the 'robots'. The only problem is the controls. Firstly the left button is mapped to the 'shift' key, which is odd. And secondly, the play can only shoot whilst moving. It feels a little like the game programmer had a few glitches in the game, and left them in as part of the game. Therefore, making the game feel unfinished. But for what it is, an early basic game it is still playable.
