ZARAKS

Pick your way through a labyrinth of passages, avoiding massive boulders and vicious Zaraks.
Absorb life giving energy from mystical pulses scattered throughout the maze in your dash 
for safety.


Hardware Required: Any ZX Spectrum or ZX 81 16K.

INSTRUCTIONS:

The program should be loaded using LOAD”” as a direct command.

Full player instructions are given in the program.

Ther are four skill levels:
3 - Easy 	2 - Fairly Easy 	1 - Difficult 		0 - Impossible

To play the game one must reach the home base through the maze of passageways. On your way 
you must overcome two different types of hazard. The first consists of a series of blockages 
in the passages which you must either go around or blast from your path. Beware of the second
hazard; the deadly, quick-firing Zaraks who will be lurking around the maze waiting to pick 
you off at any opportunity. The faster you reach home the better, as you have only a limited 
quota of energy; to help you, however, there are a number of power cells stationed along the 
passages.

There is a high score facility for the fastest time, which is displayed at the end of each 
successful game.

Cursor keys control your movement, if you hold down the shift key the cursor keys then control 
the direction of your fire.*

* The controls for the ZX-81 are slightly different. The cursor keys still control your 
movement but keys 1-4 control the direction of your firing as follows. 1 Left, 2 Down, 3 Up, 
4 Right.
