CURSE OF THE SERVERN FACES Preproduction Review Copy Imperial Software Spectrum 48k Setting the Scene ----------------- You were just a poor pesant, in the small fishing village that in which you live. Then HE arrived. The old wizard was limping heavily when you found him, but his other injuries were much more serious though invisible to you. "There is no help for me..." he croaked with a weak whisper. "But you only limp" you reply, "No you do not understand, I am mortally wounded. You must save them.....", he was fading. "How do I save who ?" you ask. It was to late, the wizard said no more. In a final gesture he flung up his staff, it arched high and before it fell you had been placed under a spell. The last thing you saw was the wizard fade. Then his cloak, hat and book flash away like a stroke of lightning........ What would fantasy be without magic! In many adventures, including this one, magic is used to a great extent. Magic words, magic wands etc. Obvious things are WAVE WAND or ABRACADABRA. The keyboard is slightly altered from it's normal use to one which is easier to use in adventures. EDIT (CAPS and 1) clear the preasant line, and is ready for you to start on again on new text. "0" is delete, with or without the shift. Other well used words include INVENTORY or I, which give a list of the objects which you are carrying. HELP may give some useful tip on a particular problem at a particular location QUIT ends the present game. This adventure also recognizes prepositions, such as PUT INTO HAT or JUMP ON LADDER. Saving the game at a particular point can be achived by typing *SAVE. You are then given the option of saving to the buffer or tape. By chosing the buffer option it allows you to try something that you may feel will result in your death, so that can carry on as before by restoring the buffer saved game. Chosing option (1) saving to tape will result in you to be ready with your tape recorder to load in a saved game then type *LOAD.
