HIGHWAY CODE ============ by Mike Pertwee Based on the official Highway Code, this testing, graphic quiz program presents the player with a number of simulated incidents - a question is asked with the correct answer being selected from a choice of three. An ability rating of the driver is given at the end of each quiz. Hardware Required ZX Spectrum 48K INSTRUCTIONS The program should be loaded using LOAD“” as a direct command. THE GAME You are presented with a quiz that will test even the finest driver on the intricacies of the Highway Code. Whether the player is learning to drive, or has been on the road for many years, this program will illustrate any weaknesses in a driver’s technical ability. Playing the game is simple. An incident, such as approaching a busy motorway, or overtaking a vehicle, is depicted in clear graphics and text. A question (such as the correct procedure) is asked; the answer is then selected by the player from a list of three. If the selected answer is wrong the correct answer is indicated. In each quiz 25 random questions are asked. These 25 are selected from a huge pool of questions, stored in the computer, which cover all the aspects of the Highway Code. The technical driving ability of the player is given at the end of each quiz. CONTROLS All playing controls are given in the program. HIGHWAY CODE © Computer Rentals Ltd 1984. All rights reserved.
