THE STORY The man crept forward cautiously, hugging the walls of the house, trying not to make the slightest noise. Main Street was empty, and all the windows were shuttered. But the Sheriff knew, with the certainty which only experience gives, that behind those shutters, many eyes were peering out, unwilling to miss the show. Suddenly, his ears caught a slight rustle beyond the window in front of him; a hand holding a revolver had just been deposited on the windowsill. The Sheriff moved at the speed of lightning, grabbed the window, and slammed it down on the hand. A scream resounded in the still air. The Sheriff reached in and pulled with all his might at the imprisoned hand; a man flew through the closed window, smashing it to smithereens, and landed in the middle of the street. Instantly, shots rang out from the roof of the house, hitting the man who was writhing in the street. The Sheriff jumped out into the street, shot upwards twice, and jumped back to safety against the wall. Seconds later, a body fell from the roof with a dull thud. The Sheriff knew that the only bandits still alive were holed up in the saloon. He looked in through a window, and saw various men pointing their guns towards the door, and a girl sitting at the bar with a glass of whisky in her hand. The Sheriff did not hesitate for a moment: he jumped through the window, and rolled along the wooden floor, shooting wildly. For a long minute, the saloon became a living hell of shots and screems. Then the Sheriff stood up, his gun still smoking. "Well done, kid," said a voice from the bar, "you have got rid of all of them...except one". The Sheriff glanced around him, hardly believing what he was hearing. The girl had hardly moved throughout the whole firefight. "Who?..." "The boss, kid" said the girl, "the most dangerous one." The Sheriff looked nervously around the saloon. The girl dropped a glass. Before it could even reach the floor, the business end of a whip had wrapped itself around the Sheriffs arms, and a gun appeared in the girl's hand. The boss of the gang had just put in an appearance. The Sheriff turned around... SHOOT ANYTHING THAT MOVES That will be the only way you can come out alive, since nobody that appears on screen does so to say "good morning". The game consists of five phases; in each one of which you will have to fight a dangerous enemy. In the first phase, you will have to cross a typical Western town, full of bandits headed by The Masked One. Then you have to go to the railroad station, where after causing all sorts of havoc, you shall find yourself facing an attractive but dangerous dame who does wonders with guns. If you are man enough to kill her, you can continue into a canyon where tribes of Indians will mistake you for a close relative of General Custer. At the end of this phase, you shall have to get rid of a strange but rich character, whose speciality is throwing bombs. In the fourth phase, you must navigate dangerous rapids on a wooden raft, avoiding the alligators, Indians, and other enemies. If you get rid of Greybeard, last enemy in this phase, you will reach a meadow where you will have to face a determined young rascal who throws boomerangs at you. Shoot the stars to get extra lives, and watch out for attack from the rear. Now breathe deeply, turn off the radio, and lock yourself in your room. The fun has just begun...
