OURE DAWN OF HOPE ================= "In a world shrouded in clouds, those who live in the light must strive to help those trapped without." Take flight as a dragon soaring through the sky as you race against time to collect enough energy to activate the powerful machine that can help the people trapped beneath the clouds. Tahe care to avoid the sky creatures who want to steal your energy and stop the storms that could destroy your work in this blisteringly-fast 50fps parallax scroller for your ZX Spectrum 48k! INSTRUCTIONS You take the role of the architect of the great tower. The gameplay centres around the architect's goal of providing energy to the conduits that will channel power into the great tower. As the player you must fly as a dragon around the clouds and collect the orbs of energy you find there. You can only carry a certain amount of energy at any time. Once you have collected some energy you can deliver the energy to a conduit by turning bach into humanoid form at the conduit. This can be done by flying the dragon's head into the flickering transformation sigil found on each of the conduits. Fully powering a conduit will unloch a game-changing ability unique to that conduit. As you add energy to the conduits sky creatures and storms will be attracted to the area, increasing in frequency as more energy is added. The creatures and storms will drain energy from you when touched, although some conduit abilities can change this. Storms will also drain energy from the conduits - even fully charged conduits - so you will want to stop them as soon as you can. To stop a storm you must spin your dragon in it by alternately tapping left and right. Timing is of the essence if you want to score well! Once you have successfully powered up all eight conduits you will have completed the game and be given a ranking. Achieving a five star ranking is exceptionally hard, good luck! CONTROLS Kempston support can be activated by pressing 'K' on the title screen. Keyboard controls are: Q - Up A - Down O - Left P - Right Bottom Keyboard row - Boost! During gameplay you can see the amount of energy collected as a bar in the bottom-middle of the display. Above it is a marker for where your dragon is in the sky. The sky wraps so flying left will eventually wrap your position round to the right edge and vice versa. The position of active storms will also be displayed here. The bar also shows icons for conduits that are fully powered so you can measure your progress. Finally there are two circles that represent the time limit. Finish before the yellow circle depletes will result in a Gold time, before the cyan circle depletes for a Silver time, or any point after for a Bronze time. To get the best ranking ensure that no energy is ever taken from the towers and no red creatures are ever touched, whilst completing all eight conduits in a Gold time!
