FISH POLKA ---------- Original version by Lee Jackson for the soundtrack of Rise Of The Triad in 1994. Rearranged for the 128K Spectrum's PLAY command by Jim Waterman, 6 December 2016. This program haphazardly bolted together based on the previous "...Deadly Gentlemen" on 18 December 2021, in the immediate aftermath of the CSSCGC finishing. ====================================================================== And ANOTHER a little extra for WOOT! ZXMAS 2021... because this has been kicking around doing nothing for five years after I wrote it... because I could. This isn't at all seasonal, unless you're planning to have haddock and chips for your Christmas dinner. Start a game of Rise Of The Triad, type DIPSTICK in any level to turn cheats on, then type GOTO to access the level select screen. "Fish Polka" is what plays in the background. Alternatively, type MAESTRO to access the music menu, and you can have "Fish Polka" accompanying the gameplay. I can only assume the title was a Dopefish reference, so I've made a BMP2SCR screen showing the second stupidest creature in the universe (after the Ravenous Bugblatter Beast of Traal). I think it came out all right, but it'd have been better on a SAM Coupé which could have replicated the VGA graphics perfectly with no colour clash. Or the Next, that'd have done the job as well. This is what it's supposed to sound like, with a decent MIDI interpreter: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1xyJtOYtME8 - JW 18/12/2021
