ITALIANATE A horror/thriller text adventure for the ZX Spectrum 48K by Andy McDermott © 2022 ------ Newlywed couple Cally and Mike Baker are honeymooning in the Italian region of Tuscany, touring the region to experience its beautiful scenery and architecture. On the spur of the moment while driving to their next hotel, they decide to stop and have an evening meal in the isolated walled village of Belcarne. It is a decision they will soon regret... As Cally, you have to find your missing husband and uncover the terrifying secret of the village - before you suffer a nightmarish fate! ------ The game uses a 'classic' two-word parser (VERB + NOUN). You only need to type the first four letters of each word. Standard commands: Movement: N S E W U D NW SW NE SE Object interaction: GET DROP USE EXAMINE Show what you're carrying: I (for INVENTORY) Redescribe location: R Other actions should suggest themselves as you play through the game. Try different things and see what happens! The .TAP file should be loadable by any ZX Spectrum emulator. The .z80 file is a 'snapshot', and may not be 100% compatible with all emulators, but has been tested and works in common ones like Fuse and ZEsarUX. Written using The Quill by Gilsoft.
