Re: How many Andy Greens do we need? 2,3 or 4?
Might solve it now, but what if you do that for all Andy Greens and they live/move to the same city? With the current data in the DB, I'm not sure yet what to use to make a person unique. Lol. I tried to change my name on ZX Art to Andy M Green.... and username already taken! How many clones of me ...

Re: New loading screens by Andy Green
If you haven't already seen it on other social media platforms, below is my first personal screen of 2023. Fingers crossed I'll be producing more works this year, be it re-imagined/homebrew game loading screens or non-game related. :D This piece is called Sunset Drive. Thumbnail looks awful lol. htt...

Re: How many Andy Greens do we need? 2,3 or 4?
Could you please tell me where are you from? What city? Perhaps I could use your city name to distinguish you from the other Andy Green, instead of "Andy Green [2]". Ex-Essex lad but moved up North to South Yorkshire, UK in 2004. Indeed feel free to make any amendment necessary so there's...

Re: HEX Loader
I haven't spoken to Dan for a couple of years now but do recall him saying at one point in a conversation, "would be great if this was an actual ZX Spectrum game!". And it now is! Although couldn't tell you if this had approval from Dan or not. Honour to see my loading screen used though.

Re: How many Andy Greens do we need? 2,3 or 4?
Hi all! Mike directed me to this thread. For some reason, I'm not getting notifications. Will check that so apologies for keeping you all in suspense! Despite having dabbled with pixel art ever since my ZX81/ZX Spectrum/Amiga days, I didn't consider my works worthy of submitting to game companies. I...

Re: New loading screens by Andy Green
Hi all! Sorry I haven't been posting new artwork here. My time has been even less awhile now ans mostly doing new screens for homebrew games. Since March, I've also been working on my first book that features all my pixel art to date (plus a few other bits and bobs). Scheduled for release late Octob...

Re: Mike, the Guitar - The Shooter
Hi all! Sebastian Braunert has asked if I could upload Mike, the Guitar - The Shooter, so it's freely available to anyone wishing to download this game without the need to register with any social networking sites. For example: Facebook.

Re: Cover artists
I know the idea is to contribute to this superb and very useful topic but I'm trying to source the original cover artists for the following: Chuckie Egg (A'n'F Software, 1984) Firetrap (Electric Dreams Software, 1987) Galaxian (Atarisoft, 1984) Kong (Ocean Software Ltd, 1983) Maziacs (DK'Tronics, 19...

Re: Cover artists
Always been keen to find the artist for River Raid but never had any luck. Seem to be down as Unknown which is a shame as the artwork is striking. http://www.worldofspectrum.org/pub/sinclair/games-inlays/r/RiverRaid.jpg James Gurney http://gurneyjourney.blogspot.com/2016/07/my-days-doing-atari-box-...

Re: Quadron, a uMIA from 1988... that you can buy now!!
Due to the interest and enthusiasm generated, I am going to be reconstructing the loading screen myself from the printout, and fully complete what I started 30 years ago!! Watch this space... :) Needs a little more tidying up but not a bad rendition of the original! https://i.postimg.cc/zHRjYwSK/Qu...

Scorpion Swamp. Adaption of the Fighting Fantasy gamebook cover. Instead of a close match, I applied my own style, details and colours. The creature now looks more ferocious.... you decide.

All screens are drawn free-hand. Feud time lapse video below. I save my work using a numbered file method (e.g. WIP 1, WIP2, etc.). All of these SCREEN$ files are converted to PNG, then into an animated gif (online app), and finally converted into a mp4 video. https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_...

Re: New loading screens by Andy Green
The Warlock of Firetop Mountain alternative loading screen. I started this one back in May and it was almost confined to my 'unfinished pixel art folder. Eventually got in right frame of mind and started afresh. This one took in excess of 20 hours to draw. https://zxart.ee/zxscreen/border:0/mode:mix...

Re: New loading screens by Andy Green
Yep, I added several Spectrum characters to the wintry scene and called it Horace and Friends Ski Lodge lol. Might do another like that at some stage where folks have to find and name the games the characters are from. Thank you for your kind words! There are still around half a dozen other screens ...

Here's another in my What if.... this game was released on the ZX Spectrum? It's First Samurai. An excellent platform game that I had on the Amiga.

Couple of new alternative game loading screens: Roller Coaster (Elite, 1984). Loved (and loathed) this fast and frantic game. https://zxart.ee/zxscreen/border:0/mode:mix/palette:pulsar/type:standard/size:2/id:204269/ Auf Wiedersehen Pet (Tynesoft, 1984). Re: New loading screens by Andy Green
Yep. It's from The Legacy although I had no idea at the time when I drew it and only found out the other day. I was provided some images by the game developer for inspirations. I think it was also the cover for a paperback. Couldn't tell you which one though.
