Really enjoyed this. Took me a few goes to get the first level right. Did I make it for the second? :D

I wish we'd be told how many levels there are, though, please.

I would say 50 levels as the original title.

I love Frank N. Stein and this is a great "remix", although I haven't made it off level 2 yet. (Took me long enough to work out how to dodge the snake)

Ok let's start the high score challenge. Not tried Play-Hard mode yet.

(Ummm... there was supposed to be an image there! High 147, level 6.)

I didn't realise it was set to Hard mode automatically. I tried on Easy but didn't find it that much easier.

I keep dying on level 6 so might have to start saving my progress too.

Fantastic
I don't have anything cool to put here, so i'll just be off now to see a priest with yeast stuck between his teeth and his friend called Keith who's a hairpiece thief...

There was a bug that made the game freeze in level 42.

I reported it to Colin that immediately released a fix. Please re-download the game, either from his site or directly here:

Easy level gives you a little more time, and it flashes the next coffin piece that you need to pick up.

Great game! Thanks for sharing. I never knew Frank N Stein BITD and tried it once recently. This game is giving me a need to revisit it.
Made it to level 2 in hard mode, accidentally.

I was playing the game until The Sun Goes Down, but I'm in Hot Water now, I don't want to Take A Look at it ever again, It's Over for me.

Another bug: level 45 could not be completed due to a dead-end.

I reported it to Colin, that released another fix. Please download version 1.03R from the link above (Text edited by admin)

There's one final change, this time to improve layout of level 49. Although it didn't prevent from completing the game, thus there's no need to start it all over again if you already had version 1.03R...

Otherwise you can download the final version 1.04R from Colin's site.

Was the original 80's game part written in BASIC?

Original Frank N Stein had some compiled BASIC, but the rebooted version (and Dr.Acula) don't. I actually asked Colin about that here:

I do love that loading screen. It makes that big cartoon style look so effortless! I mean, you can clearly see the colours are restricted to the Spectrum's simple palette, but you have to look really hard to find even a hint of the artist struggling with attribute placement.

I love it too, it was created by illustrator and artist Mark Harrison who couldn't have done a better job, it compliments my game perfectly.
