The best Speccy game by System 3: vote
"You've got to have a System 3, haven't you?" said Harry Hill. (No he didn't - Ed)
Well, you have this system then, vote for your favourite over the next seven days and, optionally, leave a top three games comment to take part in the proportional vote.
Death Star Interceptor
Dominator
IK+
International Karate
Last Ninja 2
Last Ninja Remix
Myth: History In The Making
Tusker
Twister
Vendetta

I'd think that this one's basically a two horse race. I'm not sure how it'll go but either would be a worthy winner.

Used to love DSI so that’s got my vote. I desperately wanted to like Myth but I just found it too fiddly to play.
1- Death Star Interceptor
2-IK+
3-Myth ( only in my list as I’ve not played any of the other games)

For me, it is duel between the best fighting game and the best action adventure.

Similar. Death Star Interceptor is top one here for me.
IK+ 2nd place for sure...
But not sure i want to go with Myth in third, in fact, i'm not sure i ever played it.
IK in third it is then.
I don't have anything cool to put here, so i'll just be off now to see a priest with yeast stuck between his teeth and his friend called Keith who's a hairpiece thief...

I had only Last Ninja 2.I remember it was in an expensive box with the map and some other stuff inside.
I bought it because it seemed to me that it was a modern version of Saboteur. I still can't say if Last Ninja 2 was a good game. I tried 2 times to play it using POKEs but I could still loose.

1 - Myth
2 - IK+
3 - Dominator
Third place could have been any of these—in fact ask me on a different day my top 3 might be totally different—but I've a soft spot for Dominator's creepy edgy feel. None of these games are howlers though; I didn't realise System3 had such a good catalogue.

Re: The best Speccy game by System 3: vote
I think most of System 3’s output were better on other systems to be honest, like Interntational Karate on the Atari 8 bits, IK+ on the C64, Last Ninja 2 on the C64. So I’m going to choose the following three
1) Myth - because the Spectrum version feels very much like a Spectrum game, the flick screens IMHO are better than the C64 version that used scrolling.
2) Twister - one of only two games developed by the eventual Sensible Software on the Spectrum. Plus it had a really strange history, It’s actually not that bad a game and AFAIK only available on the Spectrum, despite it being advertised for every other platform going.
3) Death Star Interceptor - because somehow it seems to have an official Star Wars licence. In that they’ve licensed the Star Wars theme by John Williams (kind in the way that CRL licensed the Vangelis Blade Runner album)

1) Myth. It's a great looking game.
2) Last Ninja 2. I like the demo version on the cover tape. I somehow like the full version a bit less, but it's still a very good game. The controls are completely weird though.
3) Dominator. I love full colour shooters. This one isn't that bad either, but I mostly like its graphics.
Tusker was really nice too but it felt just outside this list.
Also I wonder why I thought The Time Machine would be on here. It's probably a mix up on my side.

This.
IK+ was pretty dull to be honest. The balls minigame was especially tedious.

Re: The best Speccy game by System 3: vote
Well, as many commenters wanted, Myth is the winner of this poll. It really is history in the making, as it gets 20 votes.
IK+ was the strongest competition for Myth, with 12 votes placing it in second.
4 votes goes to Death Star Interceptor, making it third.
Last Ninja 2 is fourth, with 3 votes.
Joint fifth are Last Ninja Remix and Tusker, 1 vote each.
The battle between Myth and IK+ was much tougher in the proportional poll, with just one point separating them:
Myth: History In The Making 28
Death Star Interceptor 13
IK+ 27
Last Ninja 2 9
International Karate 7
Dominator 2
Twister 2
Tusker 1
Vendetta 1
I'm quite amused by the unpopularity of Last Ninja Remix, which is meant to be an updated/enhanced version of Last Ninja 2. Seems like almost all of you prefer the original!
