It's target on russian speccy scene and mostly for zx evolution users. I think we have at least 2000 units of for zx evo but there is no official sales stats. Also our speccy scene slightly different and focused on demos, TR DOS, real 5'25 floppys and Pentagon timings. I have Zx Evo too and it's a great machine with proper scandoubler.

Re: New Software 2019
Yes, it's mostly for people who own real clones compatible with Pentagon.Who is the target audience?
It's Tr-Dos based and even if you transfered it to tape and replaced all disk reading routines with
tape reading routines it would still need Pentagon timings to properly display multicolour pictures
Such viewers appeared before, for example this one
https://spectrumcomputing.co.uk/index.p ... 6&id=21434
but this seems certainly most modern and advanced.

Just to mention that these were added to the site in last week's ZXDB update. Details are below. Thanks to John for his permission to allow us to host his titles.8BitAG wrote: ↑Sat Feb 02, 2019 11:30 am Adding...

It is very nicely drawn and detailed as you say but for me it's too much monochrome. The original is more colourfulIt almost looks too detailed ... but it does look good.
and maybe simpler but somehow nicer, at least for me.
I played it briefly but didn't know what I should do.
Are you supposed to open all doors and collect all stuff in one location and then move to another one through door? Or should you
work at many locations at the same time?
And how can you fight with enemies? What fire button does?

You must open all doors in every screen and take all treasures (125 pieces total).
You can't fight with enemies, you can use FIRE button if you go from one screen to another via system of doors.
And I must say this version is much more playable than original title. Especially if you can stand on ladders safely, if some pirate is approaching.

John Wilson has now converted his other Twine adventure, Behind Closed Doors 6, to the Spectrum using PAWS...

I think this must have met the ZX-Dev deadline with minutes to spare.

Yes, it's a cool and advanced demo. Some graphics are inspired by the game Extreme.Dang it, that’s impressive.
Re: New Software 2019
Yes - cool demo. I like the jiggery-pokery (or should get be jiggery-PUSHery?), but the graphics are most impressive.

Re: New Software 2019
I couldn't even really see the attributes scrolling either though, really smooth. Having said that, I might be one of those people with low fps eyesight.
Re: New Software 2019
I thought the same thing, but your eyes are fine - that's a multicolour scroll, so it IS that smooth.DouglasReynholm wrote: ↑Mon Apr 08, 2019 11:48 pm I couldn't even really see the attributes scrolling either though, really smooth.
