I eventually played Airport'82. At first glance I expected to play it once and then be done with it. Turns out I played it over and over and over a few times. Not a great game but also not completely awful. Although I can't explain what kept me playing.
Definitely a game that could be given a face-lift, some m/c routines and made into a nifty little frantic game.

I played Terra Cresta a few more times but wasn't able to beat my current high score. Still need to give TR another go.

I just couldn't finish TR because I kept spooning the backward kick in the nads. I just can't get the timing of back and fire right. Ho hum.

Completed Target Renegade. Scouser Bronson didn't put up much of a fight in the end. Just floor him with the cue a few times. I have to say my heart wasn't really in repeating it, so I didn't do so well on level 1 reloaded. I really like the increased difficulty though.

No, seriously...it's great fun. I do it with all the micros. It takes forever, but I've got time. I haven't got to 1984 yet though...

Just did 245,800 on TC. Won't count it though because I had the strangest glitch: I died at some point, around 100K, and after restarting with another ship there were no flying enemies! How bizarre. The turrets were still on, power ups too...so I flew for a while shooting the ground things, but then got bored and died on purpose (still had 2 ducks left). Then it all went back to normal....

Same here, was on approx. 150k got bored and restarted the game, if you do not die then the it won't happen though!

This was the only game that I voted for that I thought I was decent at (though it turned out I was OK at Penetrator). Played it loads back in the day. My only criticism is that on round 2 and beyond the punch attack becomes a bit redundant, it's all about perfecting the back kick move. The trick re: the tighter time limits is once you've knocked someone down twice, crouch down and pummel them, it'll stops them getting up again and keeps you moving. Oh, and get the weapon as soon as you can.

Very slick shooter, I tried to get into this but I found it very difficult. My main issue was the difficulty spike at the start (already been mentioned), and the fact that you need iron thumbs for the persistent fire button mash. Kudos to those of you getting 200,000+. Unlike other shooters, I found that I wasn't really getting any better despite knowing the waves & where the ground bases etc. were positioned.

I wasn't at all competitive this round. I never got the hand of Terra Cresta, as others have said, seeing the map doesn't help, its bullet and enemy hell and RNG. Couldn't work out how to do the back kick consistently so my Target Renegade score was poor but I did enjoy the game. and Airport is just mad, how did the author come up with the idea?
