Just put your cursor mouse on the checkbox and you will see more.Juan F. Ramirez wrote: ↑Wed Feb 03, 2021 9:01 pm Just used the new tool to add Bob Wakelin as the inlay author (A) in Phantom Club entry (surprisingly he wasn't in the entry).
The author's roles are a bit confusing, though.
It seems It doesn't work on Android. It should have other way to show the roles, if possible.pavero wrote: ↑Wed Feb 03, 2021 10:09 pmJust put your cursor mouse on the checkbox and you will see more.Juan F. Yep, it works on desktop PC (standard feature of desktop browsers) only. I will try to think something.Juan F. Ramirez wrote: ↑Fri Feb 12, 2021 3:40 pmIt seems It doesn't work on Android. It should have other way to show the roles, if possible.
Anyway, other author added (Shan Savage, Codemasters' Tilt artwork).
Great find! I think I have more:
Confirmed also on Art of AtariMs Pac Man: Gus Allen
Per Mobygames
Quite puzzled about this one, there are so few Mervyn Bagshaw out there, none of them artists. I tried several variations, but well, seems to be a very unusual name and the artist vanished.Rorthron wrote: ↑Fri Jul 24, 2020 7:33 pm Microbot (ID 3177): Mervyn Bagshaw

Also, per inlay: Program T. Samuels, Concept: C. Morris, referring to the C64 version author Chris Morris.Rorthron wrote: ↑Fri Jul 24, 2020 7:33 pm UGH! (ID 5505): Morgan Whale Associates

I looked at this before, but am unsure about this. Per his LinkedIn page Doug Vandegrift did not start working for Access until 1986. Beach-Head is from 1984. This does not mean he couldn't have done the cover, but it casts some doubt on it. I am suspicious that Mobygames may just have extrapolated from the Beach-Head II cover that he definitely did (not the Spectrum one).Juan F. Ramirez wrote: ↑Mon Apr 05, 2021 11:06 pm Also in Mobygames, there's certain inlay with the mention "artwork by Doug Vandergrift":

There's a Douglas Vandegrift (not Vandergrift) in Linkedin that worked for Access software:

I'd bet he's also the author of the Beach Head inlay. The C64 cover of part 2 mentions "Illustration by Doug Vandegrift":

In this german Retrogamer issue (pg 192) there's a mention of BH cover and Vandegrift:

Other Mikro-Gen covers are also signed by Graham Campbell:sho wrote: ↑Fri Apr 16, 2021 1:24 pm Signed artwork on Pyjamarama and Everyone's A Wally by "Graham Campbell"
What about the other Wally Week games? (The art style is the same on all)
The Three Weeks in Paradise artwork is signed by Cambo or Gambo, which might very well be the same person.
In their defense, they do not claim any credits for the original Beach Head covers. Could it be Melvyn Bagshaw, who did this illustration in C&VG at around the same time as Microbot was released?druellan wrote: ↑Sat Mar 13, 2021 1:00 pmQuite puzzled about this one, there are so few Mervyn Bagshaw out there, none of them artists. Yeah, might be. I credited him anyway because I was pretty sure that was a real name, but nice to have a second confirmation. Thanks.StooB wrote: ↑Fri Apr 23, 2021 9:11 am Could it be Melvyn Bagshaw, who did this illustration in C&VG at around the same time as Microbot was released?
Sorry, I misunderstood the original post. The Mobygames link goes to Raid over Moscow, not Beach-Head.
Agreed.
