Happy New Year

Post by R-Tape »

Image

It's almost over!

Happy new year everyone. I have no idea what to expect next year, but let's hope it's at least slightly better.

Any resolutions? (ZX or otherwise)

I'd like to write a text adventure, and something I can call my masterpiece, and do everything in life better. (The same procedure as every year... :D )

I've got something Sinclair-related that might take a few minutes of my time, if I'm lucky.

Though if I suddenly stop, it's because I caught the Wu-flu and my immune system wasn't as aggressive as I've previously thought it was. Though, when I'm going to be stuck inside this house until APRIL at this rate and maybe even longer, the chances of catching it are minute. Unless Alex Jones, David Icke and the rest turn out to be right all along and 5G is spreading a biological virus as well as a few of the electronic type as well as turning the friggin' frogs gay and shape-shifting into lizards, in which case I've had it, and that's assuming I live near any 5G masts, which by APRIL I probably won't. Either way, every last one of you has my word that I won't have an "accident" for a year at least. And maybe longer, because I've got a ton of Crap Game ideas that I'm going to have to sit on for the whole year. Still, it won't take 16 years between entries this time.

I might also do a hint of mapping. In that, I've got two unfinished maps that have been hanging around on my hard drive for three years.
Spectribution: Dr. Jim's Sinclair computing pages.
Features my own programs, modified type-ins, RZXs, character sets & UDGs, and QL type-ins... so far!

I'm also still stuck on level 1, but it's unlikely I'll get any further tonight. moroz1999 's open bottle of wine has prompted me to go open a bottle of red. :D

2021.
I promise I'll finish some things this year.

I've got two basically finished games that just need levels. And other ideas at other stages of "done". Once I've priced to myself I can do them, I find it hard to finish. I need to find the discipline to get them done!

Happy New Year!

I plan on:
Making existing 2 games into TAPs with loading screens.
Finishing the other 3 games that are in dev, and starting a new one all before the arrival of a shiny Next ready for even more fun and headaches.

Stay safe!

Happy New Year to everybody!
2020 was a tough year so now it can be only better :)

Yet despite Covid and all other worries in the real life the Spectrum
scene flourished. We have seen a lot of high quality games and other
projects completed. So I can only wish that this trend will go on in 2021...

And forever ;)
