Please could you advise on the uploading of Spectrum Next games? Maybe as a Zip file as many contain multiple files? If you are in agreement please could you add an extra option to the upload files drop-down.

Hi Peter,

now, you can upload one ZIP file with multiple files for these filetypes at least:

Tape image
Snapshot image
Disk image
DOCK cartridge ROM image dump

(e.g. [Filename].tap.zip)

Any of these filetypes probably aren't optimal for Spectrum Next games.

So firstly @Einar Saukas should define a new filetype for it.

No there is not (although most will include a .nex amongst other files). Many Next titles will contain multiple files, so I think Zip is probably best. I'm not expecting us to host many Next titles, as most of either paid for or on Itch.io.

I am not sure if we should support this filetype anymore. I would prefer, if you would add "BUGFIX" to the comment field. And I will create FileName(BUGFIX).tap.zip.

Now there are only 86 files in ZXDB with the filetype_id=22.

Should we also add "BUGFIX snapshot image", "BUGFIX disk image", "BUGFIX cartridge image", etc.? I don't think so ...

I'm adding a type in from a book via the preservation tools. I have left the publisher blank, and in the comments section added 'Please link to the book 'More Games for Your ZX Spectrum - 2000260' - Page 21'

There is no universal link at youtube videos in ZXDB.

So @Einar Saukas would have to add one.
