While it's a little slow, increasing the CPU seems to make the game even more impressive.
I got 2 time stamps on the videos' description for you to take a look at.

Completed, what a game!!!!! A pity it was released 1st of January 2023, or it would be a serious contender to 2022 GOTY.

Final battle here...

We will have Planeta Sinclair's GOTY as usual (live broadcast from the museum, this year).

But this is a 2023 game (it was released on the 1st January).

Aha, okay. I was thinking that https://spectrumcomputing.co.uk, the web's premiere Spectrum forum, might do one.

( Also that it seems like a lot of work. )

I played it on the Omni for a few hours yesterday, the gameplay is surprisingly deep and complex. On 7 MHz it runs great. I will give it a try later today on my element ZX to see how it works with 28 MHz.

Not far in yet, but it is incredible what they have squeezed into the limited memory space. Very impressive.

1) How can I put away some item from my inventory?

2) Or how can I move in my inventory. I can see the first 7 positions only. But e.g. my long bow is on the 8th position. :-(

BTW, you mention kempston and sinclair joystick support in your review, but the game supports keyboard and cursor joystick only.

Well, I answer myself. 8 and 9 keys - that is the solution. ;)

To your question about the meaning, "weald" is Old English for "wood, forest". So "Witchwood", presumably. Either that, or the real Wychwood: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wychwood.

Yep, great game, only a little bit slow. But to increase the speed 2x in the emulator is the solution. :)
