Reviews for Soundtracker (#12090)

Soundtracker is probably the best ZX Spectrum tracker. I got it running on my Nintendo DS, and it seems to work with most emulators.

Soundtracker is very hard to use, and there is little documentation for it, but once you know how everything works it is not too hard to make decent chip music. The program also comes with a load of demo songs, and you can pick them apart to learn a bit more about the effect or 'ornament' commands.

If you are struggling to work out how everything works, there are a few tutorials out there. The best ones I could find are:

Brilliant utility to make music. It allows 3 channels plus samples and chip sounds. It may seem complicated (it is) but it's not Einstein material, so don't worry. A pity I didn't had this to incorporate music into my games instead of 'Wham! the Music Box', which worked fine, but not as good as Soundtracker.

Probably , the best music ever heard on the Spectrum !!!

Fascinating application with some interesting options to explore ... modify the waves at will !!

The Spectrum on its most useful and friendly side .
