Reviews for Daley Thompson's Supertest (#1222)

As good as any 'button bashing' sports sim on the Spectrum, and a lot better than some.
I have really fond memories of this one. The graphics, animation and sound on this game were quality. Every event has its own bit of skill or timing involved, but good old button bashing (or joystick waggling) remains the theme throughout.
This game was solely responsible for the purchase of two additional keyboard membranes for our Spectrum, be warned.

a decent sequel to DT decathlon this game had a harder edge to it not to mention more games that really knackered two joysticks from kempston and the z & x buttons much to my dads annoyance a fun game now as it was back then check my video too...

The sequel to the classic Daley Thompson's Decathlon.

Unlike Decathlon where you compete in various track and field events (ala in the Decathlon) this game has you compete in a wide variety of events in a similar fashion to Hyper Sports, such as rowing, tug o war, ski jump and penalty kicks......yes that's right penalty kicks. And of course there's the normal athletics events too such as the 100 metre sprint and the triple jump.

All in all, a wide variety of events means good ol fun from Daley once more...not for your fingers though.

This is a slightly better game than Decathlon. Both are excellent sports games but this just shades it.

Daley Thompson“s Decathlon was good enough , I never fancied this sequel . . .

The sequel to the great D.T. Decathlon. This time includes some non-athletics events: Pistol shooting, cycling, spring board diving, giant slalom, rowing, ski jump, tug o'war and even penalties!

Not as good as Decathlon or Hypersports, but still highly playable and addictive.

Joffa Smith hated this game. While I don't hate it as it is quite a nice game, I can't give it as much love as some others might. I get why it's like Hyper Sports, because it was a rushed project, and it honestly shows. Still nice enough but give me Hyper Sports any day.
